A few months ago my youngest son asked me for a pair of pyjamas. Not any old pyjamas mind, they had to be polar bear pyjamas. I put this in the too hard bin for a while but with the onset of frosts this week I thought it was time to rise to the challenge. The navy tee shirting had been sitting in my stash since before he was born and the checked fabric was a bargain my husband picked up at an auction....$6 for the entire roll, and the small piece of white for the polar bear was just a piece of sweatshirting scrap. I ironed on some interfacing to the reverse of the bear for stability and the applique process proved surprisingly easy. The eyes are just blue snaps. My son was thrilled with the results and didn't take much convincing to pose for the camera.
