  1. I really like that batwing jumper, it looks so comfy and easy to wear. I'm still a bit wary of knits but slowly getting there. You and I must shop at very different oppies... Mine never have much fabric.

Actually, it's probably just because you get there first!

  2. Goodness me, you have been so economical! Don't you ever have to buy thread or zips or other haberdashery?

  3. This month has been an economical month which is probably more to do with the fact it is so cold and my commercial overlocker resides in the garage. When it is very cold I tend to resort to knitting or find a project that requires very little overlocking. As for the notions, well, I have a rather large stash of zips that my grandmother kindly gave me quite a few years ago now so I try to use what I have when I can and as for thread, I have a couple of rather large boxes of large cones that are left over from my nappy making for sale days. Occasionally I have to replenish my overlocker threads but not often. Since the earthquakes, we really have only one decent fabric shop in the city other than Spotlight and Lincraft which are not my usual go to shops for fabric, so I am not tempted by expensive fabrics often. It is kind of a mixed blessing that one!

I must admit my batwing jumper is one of my favourites to wear. It is a little hit and miss when it comes to op shop fabric.
